HOUSTON, TX [April 24, 2018] – MALK Organics & Greenway Coffee are set to open the MALK BevBar – the city’s first plant-based beverage bar – inside Snap Kitchen (3600 Kirby Dr.). MALK BevBar will whip up delicious drinks like a Hazelnut & Maple Pecan Latte, Non-caffeinated Red Velvet Cashew Latte made with Snap Kitchen’s cold-pressed juices, a plant-based coconut butter coffee, a Superfood Maca Cashew Smoothie and an Iced Mocha Almond Latte.
Customers will walk up to the BevBar and pick their drink of choice, selecting their flavor of choice from the MALK varieties. It’s as simple as MALK! And the BevBar will include a Whole 30 menu, a coffee menu, a decaf menu and a MALKsquad menu where we will proudly feature the unique beverages created by Instagram foodies.
The concept is a match made in plant-based food heaven. David Buehrer, owner of Greenway Coffee, is a magician when it comes to brew; August Vega, founder of MALK Organics, created the ONLY three-ingredient Almond MALK milk on the market; and Snap Kitchen, provider of healthy handmade food for busy people, offers innovative and seasonally-inspired clean eats, full of fresh flavors & simple ingredients, for their customers looking for plant-based options.
“We are very excited to collaborate with MALK at Snap Kitchen, and can’t wait for Houstonians to visit the new MALK BevBar at our Kirby location. This is our first partnership of this capacity inside one of our shops, and we know that all of our customers, especially those in our growing plant-based community, will love being able to enjoy coffee paired with Snap snacks while picking out their meals for the day. At Snap, we always strive to partner with like-minded brands at our shops and love working with local brands, like MALK, to create unique and healthy experiences. We are looking forward to debuting MALK’s first coffee bar, and look forward to future partnerships,” CEO Dale Easdon stated.
MALK organics has been a leader in the plant-based food industry. Through this collaboration, all three involved hope to attract more plant-based eateries and cafes to Houston. “We are based in Houston and have strong ties with friends like David from Greenway and partners like Snap Kitchen – this just made sense,” shared August Vega. “Being plant-based is becoming the norm, with more and more people incorporating plant-based dishes and beverages in their day-to-day diets. As a plant-based consumer, I often find it difficult to easily access foods and beverages I would like while on the go. Sure you can find coffee shops with almond milk or milk alternatives, but they are typically laden with gums, fillers, tons of carbs and oils. With MALK BevBar, we are sticking to our motto to keep it simple with no additives and always incredibly delicious.”
Expected open date is mid-May. The MALK BevBar will open from 7–10:30am.
